Do some templates have locked in formatting? One of my sites doesn't allow centering text (but by default it justifies the text)... can you justify the text on a template which doesn't justify automatically?

how? there's not an option for justified text... only left alignment, right alignment, and center alignment. I can do this if I copy and paste from MS Word (it'll keep most of the same formats) but this can be a pain at times. Also, my one website, some of the text is centered (headings and stuff) but when it's published and you view the site EVERYTHING is justified.

The auto alignment is possibly coming from copied MS word text if it's being pasted directly.

In these cases it's worth stripping the formatting codes by taking it through a text processor such as Notepad or saving a word file as pure text (.txt) then pasting it. The widget alignment options should then work.

To justify text then you would put it in a table and select text-align:justify as one of your text style attributes.

Hope this helps Donald.

Well... I know that... however, my one site... nothing on that one site came from MS Word and I know how to strip it of all formatting in Word... the point is, in the one template... it doesn't allow you to change the alignment... and nothing came from another program by copying and pasting... it's the default on it. An example.... http://freemusiclistening.synthasite.... ... ALL text on this page was WRITTEN INTO YOLA including THE TITLE... And the title was centered and I did not elect justified alignment (although I prefer that) but the title was not centered and the whole document was justified.

Hi Donald, if you click on the text widget to activate it you should see a centre, left or right alignment option. Do you have something else in mind?

Hi Donald,
Yes I do see how that is appearing on your page; and you have tried to center some of the text? You should be able to hightlight your text and center it, I have just done a quick test on a test site and it appears to be centering all right for me. What browser are you using.

Can you try dragging an new text widget onto one of our pages, adding some text, highlighting and then using the Edit Toolbar to center the text. Please let me know how this goes.
