Former question to Yola is now showing up in SEO's and I'm concerned

I wrote to Yola when I first started building my site and had added pay pal. When I posted the site to see what it looked like in another browser I got an error message saying it was a possible phishing site? Well that query to Yola to find out why I was getting that message has come back to haunt me.

I've finally gotten my site up and running and noticed on several search engines that query to Yola is now haunting me since the Yola page is showing up in the SEOs linking my websites page. While I don't care about being linked to Yola or even someone seeing me post here, I do care that the seo says my site is a possible phishing site.

Is there anyway to remove this page from Yola? Or at a minimum strip the website address so it's not showing up in search engines. I have turned on the follow the thread again and even posted a comment on the end of the thread in the hopes that perhaps my web address could be removed from it.

Any help would be appreciated.

You know I've been posting my URL in this forum for years and it has only helped me with SEO. Literally over a thousand times I have shared it and never once did it negatively affect any search engine results.

I don't think that you should be concerned. See I'll do it again. ;)

I am not seeing any warnings concerning your site when I search for it in Google,Bing or Yahoo....Is it possible that it has to do with your browser settings and security software? Oh I also looked using Firefox,IE and Chrome...all good

John I think she was was talking about some anti-virus program browser toolbar. Some are affiliated with Google and other search engines. When you search the web for something there is a little green, yellow or red icon next to the link that shows the sites safety status.

AVG has a linkscanner built into their service as do others. http://cybernetnews.com/avg-80-review...

She is referring to this search of her site on the web.

http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/phi...

She wanted her URL link removed in that Yola thread from 22 days ago because she thought it affected her SEO.

Why do you want it removed? Its because you posted your URL in the forum. All the pages get indexed by Google. Why don't you want more people coming to your website? It seems like you'd want more traffic?

Like most of us when we were new to this we were not always sure if we are doing something good or something not so good for our sites....By the way congrats Nathan.....@Ed ....Good to see you are still first page Google search for "play homes" and you show green on McAfee SiteAdvisor

Hey John, can you see if my website has a green thing with McAfee? Just search on Google "nathans music studio" or something like that and mine will be the first search result. I don't have McAphee so I don't know what it says if my site is secure or not.

Thanks,
Nathan

Nathan....You don't have to have McAffe as your virus protection to use Site Advisor.....It is a free add on for Firefox and IE..It is worth having for searches for your own protection as well as your site showing green for others that use it....I will go to your site and add it to their cue for testing....It does take awhile as we can't add their meta tag to our root directory for quicker inclusion...My site started showing green after a couple of weeks.

Hey John, sorry for the delayed response, I was off the computer for a bit. You submitted a ticket to our help desk, and you said that there are downloads on my site? We don't have nay downloads or widgets with downloads, the only download we have is our Toolbar download. I will talk to you on the Help Desk instead about this.

I am so new to this I didn’t realize that anything posted about your site can be potentially good for it. I didn’t know that yesterday when I started this process. I would think however if you get too much bad news associated with your site name a credibility issue could arise as well.

Which is why knowing how to administer all this stuff is so valuable as a webmaster.
(I use the term loosely). While it's been a tad frustrating at times learning all this, the ride has been a great one. Funny, shortly after and before I realized how simple this all was, I looked for someone to build my site, all they wanted to do was host it at their location trying to convince me they could do a better job. Their designs left me cold and concerned wondering if I ever had to do anything to my website I was going to be forever at their mercy. Even that early into this process I already was able to see the benefits of using Yola over anyone else.

What I have built through the assistance of Yola and the great assistance they provided to me is priceless! I now have a site that I can tweak until it’s exactly the right way, and which exactly reflexes what my target market wants. I’m sure there will be changes along the way but I'll be able to do them myself at zero cost, which is a huge plus. Thanks to Yola I’ll be able to do those changes effortlessly. It feels like family here! Yola staff and all the members here are awesome!

Yola Rocks!

I also feel indebted to Yola for providing me the means to build my own site.
I will forever be grateful for that day that I picked up that computer magazine (SA Computer, 2 years ago) and read the article on this new online website building startup called Synthasite that changed my (online) life. Someone mentioned to me the other day... "show me one business that isn't fighting with their web designer". I have to agree somehow and it's great to be able to make your own changes (tweaks) on your site. Your site looks great btw, Hatcheck Girl.
