For those educators out there who are looking for quality images "FREE kids clip art by Phillip Martin" is a web site offer­ing free, down­load­able clip art images cre­ated by graphic artist Phillip Mar­tin.

This site is inter­est­ing for a cou­ple of rea­sons. First of all, it rep­re­sents the work of just one artist — Phillip Mar­tin — who is mak­ing his work freely avail­able for edu­ca­tional or non-commercial usage. It’s easy to appre­ci­ate why an edu­ca­tor would share his work but when an artist who makes a liv­ing from art does the same thing, that’s fantastic.

Images on the site are orga­nized by cat­e­gory for easy brows­ing. Many of the cat­e­gories such as Social Stud­ies or Math are edu­ca­tional in nature mak­ing it easy to find cur­ricu­lum related images. When a desired pic­ture is located, the user need only right click to save to the desktop.
