As someone with no idea of how to use html to build a great looking site, is it possible to use the widgets and develop a site that looks professional. My current site www.premierskillsacademy.co.uk looks amateurish. Using the text widgets seems to be limiting how I would like the site to look. Another football site local to me has a great looking site http://www.thetfa.co.uk/ is the only way to get a site like this, is to have it built?

Hello David,

You can most certainly build a very sophisticated looking site with Yola and a number of people have done so.

A site rarely looks good without a plan. You really need to have a vision of what you wish your site to look like then translate this into your creation. It doesn't work haphazardly placing various widgets on the page and hoping that it will appear good out of the blue. Sometimes you need to try a few things to hit the "right" looking plan.

Transferring a vision or a paper design into a site generally requires the use of a number of different elements and as you have mentioned the text widget is a very good tool but there are also the image widget and the HTML widget which help to polish the edges.

Once you have a plan then the next step is to look for a style or template which will help with your creation. This is then your background to add the elements onto.

All these and a lot more are available on Yola and the best way if you are stuck is to ask specifically how to do something.
