Hi guys, I want to transfer my mail account from Yola mail to Google Apps. Please advise on how I can do this. Should I replace Yola CNAME with the verification one provided by google? What will happen to the mail on my Yola mail account afterwards? Thanks
Because you can't have one mail account running on two systems it does mean that the Yola mail records will be lost from this source. A fairly easy solution to this is to forward your mail in your Yola account to another webmail account for example (gmail). This will then be a safe collection of your previous mail. Do this also with your sent mail which may have to be individually opened and forwarded on.
To configure your Google Apps Mail remove the Yola mail dns records and then add your Google Apps records as directed in the tutorial on this topic. If you are unsure of which records are your Yola mail settings then ask the Yola Support people to remove them for you when you are about to configure.
