Hi..

I am using IE8 I asked before about the scripting issues and I don't think I explained it very well...I am trying to add simple scroll boxes to each of my members page, Smithy kindly supplied the code from a site he uses, I copied it into notepad before posting it directly on to the page through the HTML widget.
When I try to edit the script, for example change the words in it to reflect in the scroll box, I get the HTML box up ok through the site builder however as I have said before the cursor doesnt appear and I am unable to edit the script, I have to refresh the page several times before it allows me to edit it.
Also as I said before the scripting is showing in the HTML box as ONE line? for expample this is what I see when I open the HTML box..

imagine this as the script..

.........................................................................................................................................

it is a one line script instead of the way you normally see script as in

I hope someone understands what I am talkign about as this is now beginning to get on my nerves even in compatibility mode in IE it doesnt work..help please.

Hi William

I understand your frustration. I would be feeling the same. Have you been able to address the existing coding problems pointed out to you in your site builder? Until this is addressed, you will most likely keep encountering future problems with getting your widgets to work and your page to function properly.

I strongly encourage you to please fix the bad coding in your site where you have copied and pasted text from an external source. Highlight the text, copy to Notepad, then paste into a new text widget. Delete the old text widget.

Once these problems have been resolved, then hopefully the other problems will also be taken care of. If not, then we can deal with those once we know there is nothing else that could be causing the trouble.

hello littleus.

the html I have on the site has always been copied and posted via notepad, boomer made me aware of that a while ago and since then if I ever use an external script it goes to notepad first, the rest of the html is done through widgets YOU give us on the site builder, so are you saying even the script on the widgets has to be put on notepad first before you place it in the widget? regarding the incompatibility of ie 8, I push that button all the time and still it doesnt fix the issue, if indeed firefox eradicates these issues then im more than willing to convert, but im sure it has happened with that as well?
