The URI for a blog post is:

mysite.com/blog/post-name

I would like the dynamic code for such posts

being:
mysite.com/blog/dynamic-post-title-code

Thank you.

Hi Gop,

Thanks for this suggestion. If I understand you correctly, instead of the blog post title being part of the URL, you want to have a code instead? e.g. mysite.com/blog/123.php?

Could you explain the reasoning behind this?

No Sorry. I want to know the code that is used within the builder for the title and no the title itself. I need to address this in a generic sense for a facebook application. Thank you

Hi, Gop,

I'm not sure I completely understand the question either. You can always view the source code. But I know a lot of the dynamic stuff is in php and not something we would really just give out. Can you please explain a little more what you are trying to accomplish?

Hi Diane,

I am trying to develop an FB application. It requires that you call the variable of the title of the post. I have tried to view the source code but haven't seen the relevant code. I think that you should realise that I would have tried this and if you can see it as an "Employee" and Champ it would be of benefit to let me know.

I don't know how to put this any more clearly.

PS: How come this has taken 5 days to answer? 48 Hours is your commitment. There are far too many problems with the supervision of this forum currently and suggests a real management problem.

If this is becoming too much of a burden then please have a look at other Forum types where issues like this are much easier to monitor and catch.

Hi Gop,

We are sorry to hear how upset you are with the management on our forum. We are committed to our customers and do our best with staying within the allotted times. However, we are experiencing an influx of tickets (over double the normal amount) as we were closed over the Christmas holidays and are getting through the backlog as quickly as we can.

I have spoken with colleagues and we are really unsure whether what you are requesting is doable and have reached out to an engineer for his thoughts. I will ask him to comment on this thread when he arrives online next. In the meantime, we appreciate your continued patience.

Then please make an announcement advising your customers that there is a 5 day delay or whatever. You have that function and it only requires minimal time to make this. That is good management.

Thank you for passing this on to your engineer for advice.

Hi, Gop,

I want to assure you that if I have specific code I will post it. I went through the source code of both the Sitebuilder and the published site of my own blog and did not see any relevant code, but honestly, I was not sure what I was looking for which is why I requested more information. I suspect it is part of Yola's proprietary code but I'm sure an engineer will be able to address that. Our engineers are very busy individuals so please allow sufficient time for a response. Please remember that Yola is geared for those who are not knowledgeable in code and that advanced coding support is not a part of our SLA's. I'm happy to help as much as I can but my coding knowledge is limited and my knowledge of Facebook applications even more so. I would like to direct you to a thread which you may have already seen where a number of wonderful individuals like yourself are willing to share their knowledge and help with advanced coding: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/dec...

Thanks for all you do on this forum!

P.S. I am an employee of Yola (I was a champ first). I apologize for any confusion!
