Get Your own Hompage Layout With Yola, even on .com websites? I've noticed that even on .com websites, there is still that link. I think that the .com webs should be able to take that on or off, and the webs shouldnt have it at all. i mean, .YOLASITE.COM? i think that site visitors will see the URL before that tiny little link at the bottom.

Hi Sheepdude,

Thank you for your feedback.

While we do not have the option to remove the footer at this time, we understand the importance of making this choice available. We are working on the legal and technical requirements to add the removal of the footer for a small fee in an upcoming release.

If you do not wish to use a free subdomain name, then you are welcome to use a .com domain name.

Yola should have an advertising on the page. They give this great site builder for free. I have bought a domain through them and also redirected A couple I built here. was built here and released yesterday. My registered domain on another site was redirected to the yola subdomain site here. Can you see the yola in my address bar now? Here is the link to new site. You'll notice that the member sign in has security on it as well. Another great feature which helps you not have to work with a php certification. They are a little complicated. Have a super day all.

This is an interesting discussion. Remember that when you buy a domain name you are paying for the domain name only. Site building and hosting are still free of charge. The link in the footer helps us to keep our site building and hosting free. The link is a credit for the use of the template, and the site builder software.

Some services allow you to remove the footer when you buy a domain name, but then they charge a lot more for the domain name, or some other aspect of their service.

This is our thinking: many people would like the ability to edit the footer. Editing the footer could include removing the Yola link, as well as inserting your own information, such as a copyright notice or contact details. So we are busy building a user interface, not just for footer removal, but for full control over footer editing.

This will be a premium feature and we will work out the fee structure to give you the best possible number of choices for your needs. Work on this project is currently underway, along with some major enhancements to our style library, so it will be included in one of our next releases.
