Hey Yola!
I hear that getting your website on wikipedia will really help your site with Google. Is there any way that I could actually help out the wiki community with info from my website, and putting my link on that specific page without simply promoting it? Or how could I create a wikipedia article based on my website?
Thanks!

Hello Anita,
I would say you should think about what is different/better/specialized about the information your site provides and then think about a way to help out the wiki community with that information.
I took a look at this wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_House_On_The_Prairie and there didn't appear to be any information about "Where they are now", which I see you have a page about that on your site. Possibly you may want to study more about where the actors have come over time leading up to where they are now, a bit of a history of the Little House actors, that could be a contribution to the wiki.
It's just an idea. Good luck!

anytime you can provide important details which aren't currently included is a good contribution as Emmy explained above. The Little House on the Prairie Cast 2010 would be a good inclusion if wikipedia's not currently detailing that information. And so with any topic. What I suggest personally is to find and locate stubs throughout wikipedia and transform them from a stub to an article. A stub is basically the start of an article when it's only information is very basic kind of like a definition and no detail is added. This would be a good contribution to the wikipedia community.
And if Wikipedia's not a good fit, feel free to contribute to my encyclopedia LOL...

Thanks to everyone for your ideas and advice, you're all so helpful! so basically, if I provide information that wikipedia doesn't have, and my site does, is it possible to put a link to my website on there for more info(while still obeying the "terms of use")?

I'm sorry for the long delay in responding to your question. I am not familiar with how Wiki operates but I did find this link that you may find useful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedi...
I hope that helps!
