Hello Manish,

Thank you for providing us with those details and our apologies for the delay.

I am still a little unsure about the problem you are experiencing, as all the images you provided look similar. Could you provide some details about what you are trying to do, and what you are experiencing a problem with. For example, you have said that you are "seeing the whole article after collapsing all". If you could expand on this, it will be very helpful.

Hello Manish,

I'm wondering if this might be a bug on our side. Are your other blog posts collapsing? Do you have images in your other ones or just this on that is not collapsing? I will also try testing on my end to see if I can replicate this issue. Do I have your permission to also try seeing what is going on specifically on your blog page?

Hi Sanja,
I noticed something with the blog a while back and didn't really think much of it at the time. So I wanted to investigate a bit further.
I have a blog page at www.band-intransition.com/band-news.php
I saved the page as blog-test (so I wouldn't loose the original). When Sitebuilder opened the new blog-test page after the save, all the entries are gone.
I added 5 new entries to the test-blog page and then saved the page.
I then tried to change the settings of the display by clicking on Edit in the blog entry area (in the blue title band above the posts module). I changed the settings of the number of posts to display to 3 and choose the option to collapse all posts. As soon as I save these settings it then tells me there are currently no blog posts. I published this page and when I bring it up at www.band-intransition.com/blog-test.php it in fact shows only 3 posts on the left and each one says "continue reading" under it's compacted form. It does show quite a lot of each post, though, so that might be Manish's issue as it's seeing the image not as a bunch of text it has to truncate after a certain amount of characters but each image as one or a few characters so it's not truncating it very early on.
I am, however, concerned with the issue I found of saving a copy of the page it removed ALL the entries/posts but left the other information intact (About Us info & image). Shouldn't saving a copy of a page as another name preserve ALL information including blog posts, categories, tags, etc.?

Yes Friend this happens, all you need to do is just refresh page (by clicking "refresh" link next to save tab).

Hello Peach,

There's a couple of things going on here. First of all, there is a bug where changing the number of blog post displayed, your blog posts seem to disappear.

Please don't worry, your blog posts are still available! All you need to do is go to "Blog Manager", click into one of your posts and then click "Done". This will bring back all of your posts.

Until we have this fixed up, we ask that you do not change the number of posts displayed. We apologize for the inconvenience and will let you know when this has been fixed up.

The second issue that you brought up - you cannot actually duplicate a blog page. This is why you're seeing a blank page. If you wish to duplicate your blog, it will have to be done manually.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

No problem on this side Sanja, as I knew that the posts weren't really gone when I changed the number of them to display. Although that little quirk may be disconcerting to others ;) I just copied my blog page to test if the blog actually had a bug and to verify that it is in fact collapsing correctly (as it seems to be by viewing my blog-test.php page). As for the duplication of the blog page, guess it makes sense now that I think about it that the posts don't carry over to the newly "saved as" page - that would be part of the blog's database and the save as function is just saving the page and not the database info.
Getting back to Manish - would having only images be a possible cause of the collapsing problem he's experiencing? I'm not fully aware of how the action of the collapse works, but it would appear that it sets the post to a pre-set number of characters and then just adds the "continue reading" link after the truncated text. If it's seeing each one of the images as a character or a few characters maybe that's why it's showing all of them (it hasn't reached what it deems it's limit of where it's designed to truncate the post)?

Nope, not at all. This is not a bug, i should have posted this topic in area like suggestions and not in "report a problem". Sorry for that.

I am just giving suggestion to add feature like manually decide what will be shown after collapsing or first image will be shown if images are added.

I know this feature is not usually available in blog posts as images are not used like this but come on yola have some excellent and easy to use features which are not available in other host sites. If you like my idea than please add this feature.

Hi Sanja

reply of "Do I have your permission to also try seeing what is going on specifically on your blog page?"
NO, until unless i am not violating you terms & condition you have no permission ask what i am trying to do specifically on my blog page or on any other part of website. i have read every single word of your terms & condition and this is not specified anywhere in that hehehe...
Than also thanks for your response :)

Hi Manish

Thank you for the clarifying the issue here. We appreciate your input on making our blog more user-friendly.

I have changed the post type to "Idea" rather than "Problem".
