Google Analytics tracking, ECWID confirmation improvement and Footer Functionality

I have a couple questions I am trying to get answers on. I am a Yola Silver member for www.rofasia.com.
1) I am trying to understand how to track the ECWID online shopping activity with Pay-Pal check out in Google Analytics. I have set up the GA tracking in the YOLA settings but do not get any ecommerce transaction tracking. I also don't get any adwords stats to come through to GA but this might be a Google issue?

2) I am pretty dissapointed with the ECWID transaction notifications in plain text format. Pretty sub-standard if you ask me. Has anyone experience with either using PayPal confirmations instead or used dedicated landing pages on their site or other means to communicate order flow to customers.

3) Finally, I am trying to understand how to add one footer to all pages. I understand from www.punypixel.com that its possible with adding HTML in the tracking code settings but I have seen the warnings on the forum that using wrong code can break the site. If anyone could share their code they have tested successfully it would be great. Thanks!

Hello Rofasia

I tried to Google+ your site and your social icons do not seem to be working. I went to another site to make sure it wasn't just me and theirs work fine.

Really like the look of your site by the way...nice job!

GA Tracking of Ecwid: This can be set within Ecwid itself in the System Settings section. http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/23947993/G...

Transaction notifications: Not quite sure what you are reffering to here but presume you mean the notifications of successful transaction to your customer? I will have to research this a bit deeper. In the meantime can you just confirm my question as to the notification?

Footer additions: The way to overcome the risk is to create a test SITE. Develop your footer code, implement it, publish and check. When this works you can simply copy & Paste it into your Store Site. I have simply used text for this so will pull it out and publish it here for you.

<div style="text-align: center;"><font size="5"><span style="color: #ccff00; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: 'Nothing You Could Do',cursive;">This is a demo Online Store only.</span></font></div>

Very simple and just remember to close all tags. See the display of footer below.
This footer isn't an ogre rofasia, it's simply a warning and with due care not really a limitation or a fearful factor.

I'll research the notifications over the next few hours. Please feel very comfortable getting back to me if you would like further details on any of these issues.

Fantastic, really appreciate the quick response. Re the notification, I am trying to find another way to send customers notifications for order confirmation, processing, shipping etc. ECWID email template format looks very old style and unfriendly. Thought maybe someone might use specific landing pages or other ways to communicate with customers. Thanks! Klaus @ Www.rofasia.com

Thanks Klaus for getting back promptly. Can you give me a bit of time on this issue? I'm thinking that others have hit the same objection and will peruse various posts to see if someone posted a solution.

Thanks, I had looked at http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/25104182/M... before but it still doesn't let you format the emails - text only, no html. No rush, just trying to enhance customer experience. Thanks!

Hello Klaus,

I've checked further notifications on this issue. It has a fairly high request rate and is in the pending development can. At this stage still not released so in simple terms not available yet.

You can vote it up here: http://ideas.ecwid.com/forums/22031-i...

The last entry on the Ecwid forum by Eugene was on the 24th march 2011. There are currently 417 votes on the board for this development so hopefully won't be so long(?) Suggest you place your vote to add numbers to the idea.
