Hi Tamil,

Welcome to SynthaSite! Please follow this link to see more information on how to start creating your website http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

There's more than one way to add Google AdSense to your page. Here's how to add it using the Widgetbox Gallery:
1. Drag and drop a Widgetbox Gallery widget onto your page
2. A dialogue box will open, click on the Google category
3. Click on the Google AdSense widget
4. Click on the Settings button (looks like a tool!) on the left to edit your settings and add your account information
5. Click on the green 'Get Widget' button and it will be saved and added to your page
6. Save and preview your page to view the widget!

This is how to add Google AdSense with the Google AdSense widget:
1. Open the Advertising folder and drag and drop the Adsense widget onto your page
2. A dialogue box will open, click on the link in the dialog box to sign up for an Adsense account
3. Once you've registered your account and customised your ad, copy the advertising code Google provided by Google
4. Paste the code back in the dialogue box on your SynthaSite
5. Click ok!

Please remember that you might not see the ad immediately, it can take a short while for it to be initialised by Google.

Please let us know if you need any other help?

Regards,
Marije

Hi Lea - have you tried to use a two-column widget? Add one to your page and then add any of your content (text, pictures, other widgets) to either side of the two-column widget! I've included a screenshot that shows where you can find the two-column widget.

hi
as outlined I can do that. however I do not want to have to set up my adsense on every page that I make - I want it on the right hand side or each page. You showcase designs that have a third column in the design area yet when you go to use them, they are not working as per the layout and design.

I need a straight answer - can this system do this - yes or no
if yes - please tell me how

sorry to be direct but I have spent 2 hours with this and do not have further time to commit if it doesn't do this I need to move on.

thanks for your help

Hi Lea

We certainly want to give you a straight answer with all the information you need. Can the system automatically add Google Adsense to every page of your site: No. The code needs to be added manually for every page.

If you want to stop right there, I will understand. If you want to explore this further then I can help you with what SynthaSite CAN do.

I need to know:
1) What is the name of the style you are using? I know if styles with menus down the side, and a body region in the page. However, we do not have any with an editable third column.

You can create a third column with the two column layout widget as Marije explained above. Here is what you need to do:
1) Drag and drop the two column layout widget onto your page.
2) Drag the green center axis to resize the width of the column as desired.
3) Drag and drop the HTML widget into the column you want to use for Google Adsense
4) Paste your adsense code in the HTML widget dialog box and click "ok"

You can do this for each page of your site, but you would have to repeat the process manually for every page.

If you tell me exactly what style you are using I would be happy to build you an example page and then you could tell me if that is what you had in mind.

hi
thanks - appreciate the answer and the speed of reply.

Ok now I know where I am at I can make better decisions. You have a cool system however to the new there is always a steep learning curve and a certain amount of frustration as you try to do things.

I can do the two column per page as outlined and have used it to make a reasonable looking website to test it using some of the cool function you have.

again thanks

We take comments like this very seriously. We are always striving to make SynthaSite easier and better. I understand the frustration when you expect a tool to be able to do something. The question in your mind is probably "how do I do X?" as opposed to "can I do X using this tool?" The second question probably only presents itself after you have had no success with the task, by which point you are already frustrated. Our challenge is to make sure that the tool can actually do what you expect it to, and that the path to achieving your goal is clear and logical. We are not there yet, but we are working on it!

Hello Jasmine,

This does not sound right. Please can you share your URL so that we can have a look at what's going on? Is this issue happening on your Sitebuilder or on your published site?

Hi there, this is in the sitebuilder, When I publish it, it's just blank. This is the page it's meant to be on. At the bottom.

http://www.pictureplaynz.com/links.php

I used the Adsense widget. Copy and pasted the code and pushed save. That's when it came up saying can't display webpage.
