I wanted to know if yola keeps a share of any advertising revs including google adsense? I had seen two answers to this question but they were written 8 and 9 months ago and wanted to know if anything has changed. I Think it mentioned that in the future there would be updates and/or changes.

Hi there,

Nope, if you put Google AdSense on your site we don't keep any of your revenue; it's all yours!

hi bluesky,

i have the same question, if there is no revenue sharing then why do we see adsense ads to the search term in the blog page . i.e. even without puting our code.

which pub id does the yola site use for the ads displayed ?

You can earn the 100% from your adsense account.

But , I found ads when we use the Yola's inbuilt search box for blog pages.

Hello Ayesh and tripexcel,

It is Yola's policy not to place ads on customers' pages, but integrated third party widgets that customers elect to add to their pages may contain ads. These widgets will be offered in the menu bar, or in some cases may show up as a default option on the page, and it is the customer's choice whether to include the widget on their site or not.

In this case, the Google Search Box widget runs Google ads on the search results page, and Yola gets a share of the revenue generated by the ads. (We do not, however, take a revenue share on the Google AdSense Widget).

This is consistent with our policy of offering the best solutions for our users while keeping the service free. An alternative would be to leave the blog search widget in the menu, and not default it onto the page, but our intent was to include popular options in the default settings in order to make it faster and easier to set up. Deleting the blog search widget is a two-click step, first click on the "x" in the top right hand corner of the widget, then click "Confirm" and that will take care of it.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
