Can anyone please help me with setting up my email. Directing me to the tuorial is not helping me. I have printed all 13-pages out and am still lost. Last week, right in the middle of my setup, my computer froze and I had to reboot. Therefore, I lost all my information. I am having problems finding my place as far as where I left off in the setup process. I apologize for asking again but this task is a little "above me" and I really want to get my email account setup as I have been trying to do this since last Friday.

Hi Anna,

I'm sure we can help you through it! If you would like to login to your Google Apps admin account, the address would be something like:

http://google.com/a/yourdomain.com (instead of yourdomain.com, enter your own domain)

If you could let me know how far you got, or post your domain here so that I can take a look?

Hi Marije, thank you for helping!! Okay, I tried the above step but it did not work as I received a 404 page error. My domain is designs-by-anna.com. I can see on the DNS page that there is a google line there. I know I got as far as terms when my page froze. I was wanting the Google Apps standard edition, which free. Thank you so much for your help.

Marije, I never did enter that code from Google onto my DNS screen. That's the point where I remember my computer freezing. Can you take a look at this portion?

Hi Anna - if you weren't able to add the CNAME to the settings of your domain, you will be able to login to your Google Apps account and get it. It's usually a link on the dashboard about 'verifying your domain'.

Choose the CNAME option and continue to follow the steps outlined on the tutorial: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/creatin....

If you would like to post your domain and CNAME here, I will add them for you.

Marije, I think what I have decided to do is just skip using the email feature. Can you please help me at this point just cancel the Google apps part of this on my account. Thank you!

Hi Anna - you don't need to give up! But if you do want to continue, the Google CNAME would be something like googleffffff5746gg8jd53h:

If you do want to give up, you can find that information on this link: http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/a....

Google Apps have a good support page to, on this link: http://www.google.com/support/a/?hl=en.

The above is the number that I never received. This is the number I have been talking about. There are google.apps items on my DNS screen, however. Using the Google Apps program seems more complicated than I am used to. Should I delete the Google information from my DNS screen?

Hi Anna - you can delete the MX Records from your DNS settings if you no longer want to use them.
