I've been collecting testimonials on a business listing website, (not sure if I can mention its name so wont) and have just seen on their forum that you can now link google local business with this 5 star review system.

It's called Google Rich Snippet Tool.

It looks very cool and would love to get it working, however .... I've tried to read the webmaster tools page and it's all way above my head. I don't suppose any Yola boffins know of this tool, or anyone that has possible seen it know hows to use it and link our Yola driven sites to it ... do they?

Hello Will

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Google Rich Snippet Tool. I will need to ask my colleagues if they have any experience with this.

In the meantime, I'm hoping that one of the forum members may have had some association with this and lend you some advice.

As nearly as I can figure, this involves putting a lot of extra code on your page. It's in beta and it doesn't add that much as far as I can tell--if a site comes up in a search, why not just click on the site and get the information there? Seems like a lot of bother for little return. Just my two cents.

The Google's local business..... Is a tool for those who doing their business in a regional basis. They allows webmasters to point their office , branches and showrooms in their Map.
That's what they offer.

As your post, you can be with them, there is just a bit relationship that should with your site. Less html , no dns and much interactive.

I've been reading that it has a lot of pull in Google Local Business, which Im flapping in at the moment, so am keen to try.

Im not sure what
"if a site comes up in a search, why not just click on the site and get the information there"
means.

I've been collecting some rave reviews on a free business review site and people on their forum have all said that they have seen significant change in their business local position, lots of them jumping to the front page. It could be worth investigating further.

I already have an account with Google Business Centre Local. What I'm after is linking it up a review website.
