I submitted my website to google using Google Webmaster but for some reason the only page it has used when searching for the abbotsford golf section was my courses played page and not my actual index page is there any reason for this or do I need to do anything else to get the actual index page showing up instead?

It will take some time for all your pages to be indexed. Continue adding fresh content to your site and updating it.
