Hi - I need to publish a site via Dotster, but I just can't work it out. Tried their help forum but not nearly as useful as you guys. The ideal for us would be to use the download provided by Yola and deploy it through Dotster. It's all double-Dutch to me & I managed to wipe out our holding page at my last attempt ... ;)

Hi Sophie,

I've configured domains for people using Dotster and I took this screenshot back in February. I'm not sure if they've changed their systems since then but perhaps it will help?

Hosting outside of Yola is a painful thing to go through, so it would be easier to point your domain to Yola. If the picture above doesn't help, perhaps you could post some screenshots of what you see in your Dotster account so that I can try and guide you?

Hi - this doesn't look like the page I have in front of me ...
I can't do a print screen from this machine but I'll send you a screenshot later - I agree, would be much, much easier if I can work out the pointing thing!!!!

Hi Sophie,
I have taken a look at Dotster and it appears that it is a custom package to be able to edit your A Records to point towards Yola's ip address. The option would be under the DNS Management area on this link: http://www.dotster.com/domain/tools.php. If you did choose this package, you would be able to get some support I am sure for help with getting the records changed from Dotster support.

The other option would be to transfer your domain to Yola so we were your domain manager and then you could publish your Yola built site to the domain name easily. Here is some more information on this options: Transfer your domain to Yola.

Marije is not online right now, but if you were going to give her screen shots she will be able to look at them when she is back.
