Hello! How can I create a blog in Yola? Not import it with the tumblr widget, but as a page in my yola site?

I would like to have a blog in Yola where users can add comments. Is that possible with tumblr widget? It seems that it shows the tumblr content and comments on yola, but it is possible to add comments only on tumblr not on yola. And I don't want to have two different spaces to check and support and update and everything, I want it all to be on yola. As far as I can see, you used to have such an option when creating a new page - to choose if it is a blog page or a page page, but I don't see it and I can't find it now.
Thank you for your advice!

Hello Mihaela

We used to offer our own Yola Blog Widget, but decided to discontinue it and replace it by integrating with Tumblr. This is why it is no longer available when creating a new page. It is correct that your Tumblr blog will just be embedded into your Yola website, so you or your followers will only be able to change content or comment on your blog on Tumblr.com directly. However, you won't need to update your blog content in two places – whatever is updated about your blog on Tumblr.com will automatically display on your Yola website without needing to monitor or republish.

Nevertheless, I've forwarded your request to be discussed in our team. Thank you for your feedback!

Please, please, please bring back the Yola blog for us as an option. Please, that should be super easy for you guys and gives us more flexibility to work as we like.
Best Wishes!

Hi Laura ... I am looking at other options now to make blogging more easier as I think the Tumblr feature is a waste of time.
Can you please tell me if there is a way for me to embed another Blog page? (can be tumblr or something else into my page) Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

That's OK. I think I may have figured out a way to do it. Will try it out and see if it works the way I want it to. Thanks.

Hi Laura ...
Sure. Am still playing around with it but it works ... so will share what works.

1. Login to your tumblr account.
2. In new window ... go to yourblog.tumblr.com (this will have your complete blog with all your posts)
3. Click on the TITLE of the post you wish to carry over to your Yola blog page. (the address in the address bar will change to yourblog.tumblr.com/post/123456789/titleofyourselectedpost)
4. On top right of this will appear menu <Edit - Delete - Reblog - Embed - Dashboard>
Click on EMBED and a new window will appear with "Embed a Tumblr Post"
5. Copy the code
6. Go to your blog page on Yola. Add a new HTML widget. Paste code and save.

This way ... it seems each post can be isolated to be viewed independently and you can format your blog page a bit better than just using a straight forward Tumblr widget which displays all the posts at once.

Only thing is .. .I think when people click on your post, to comment, they have to do so in tumblr. That part I am still figuring out. Perhaps may need a separate discussion panel / widget for that.

Do try this and hope it works for you too.
