Hello i am considering building a website with yola , Will i be able to upload about 1500 to 2000 photos and have them on display in album form on this website kind of like "Facebook" there i now have about 1500 photos on display in about 40 albums where each album has anywhere from 3 to 150 photos or so on top of all this i need to have a place where each album has a short description of whats inside so people that view my website can click on an album view it as much as the like and go back view another one the same way or not , I did look at the help section of yola about the photo galleries and such but that just confused me i would really appreaciate some live feedback from a real person that has some experience on in here. if you know of someone that has a website in here that is simmilar to what i need please give me the name of it so i can view it .
Thanks in advance . Pete.

Hi Peter,

You can definitely upload a huge amount of photo's to add to your site, but it will be quite time intensive to create a photo gallery one pic at a time. We do have some third-party gallery widgets available - Flickr, Smugmug etc. To use these services, you'll need to create an account with them, upload your pictures and then add the particular widget to your site.

I would recommend Flickr because you can tag groups of your pictures so that they will be displayed in their groups.

Here are some links to help you:
How to upload photo's on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/help/photos/
How to add tags on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/help/tags/
How to add a Flickr widget on Yola (I recommend the Lightbox, it's very pretty): http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...

Once the Flickr widget is added, click on "Properties" on the sidebar to add your Flickr login address and the relevant tags:

I hope that helps! If anyone else has any great suggestions, please post here!

I would also recommend flickr for SEO reasons .....They have made some changes you can take advantage of.Yahoo draws heavily upon the images in flickr for their own image search.I went back and made sure all my images were tagged well and I added links back to my site.I am now seeing those links in Google/Yahoo and Bing pointing back to my site.I have started getting site referrals straight from flickr and an increase in all referrals from Yahoo.
