first did you insert a text widget into your page?

second do you have many high resolution images or graphics in your page?

third is your computer slow or an older computer?

I have found that if I had many resource, high resolution images, or flash files on my site that the text widget was affected. Then when my computer was having issues that also affected the text input or typing as well. It simply would not alow for any typing or cut and pasting. Also, the box would sometimes just disapear for a little while all together.

ok the HTML widget cannot be placed in the text box firstly and if you type anything in the HTML imput box it would just show itself as not copyable text on the screen meaning it wont be registered as text as you know it.

If you are referring to code thats another thing all together. Hmmm have you tried putting the code in a WIDGETBOX widget?

You say the exact same code works elsewhere in your site?

Would you mind saving it as a file to the bottom of your index page and pasting the code here to look it over?

Don't forget to type in your address

No i didn't say it worked elsewhere on that site. It works in my own html editors and if i paste it into emails as html code. This is the web address http://buddysplace.synthasite.com/ When you click on the "typing.txt" link you'll see it work.

I Pasted your html code into an html widget on one of my pages and it works fine. Make sure you are pasting the code into an HTML widget and not a TEXT widget! I think you're using the FILE widget?

the HTML widget is in the Content Sidebar on the right of your screen. If it does not show then click the (Show Content Sidebar)...

left click on the globe image that says HTML and drag it into your page then paste your code into the box which appears

If for some reason it appears hugging the left of the screen try and paste it into a WIDGETBOX widget. This tip automatically centers it if its a video, swf, gif or any image

Thanks for the good suggestions, mredsayshi.

If none of that helps please tell us:
1) what style you are using (describe it or tell us the name)
2) what browser and browser version you have and what operating system you are using.

I hope we can help you sort this out!

I know the link works, but did you hear the typing? Did you see the scrolling text?

I saw the scrolling text and everything, The code is right.
Didn't hear the typing though - I'm listening to music on my PC at the
moment so it may have drowned the typing sound out.
