Hi Patrik

You need to install the Adobe flash player plugin for IE7. Once done, close and re-open the browser and you should be able see the flash menu. Download the Adobe flash player from here:

Yeah thanks, now that we have confirmed that I have infact tried the logical aproach to the issue - can we try something else?
May I add that I also have tried re-installing, restarting, clearing cache, clearing history and resetting default browser. Nothing of it works.
I checked this on a different computer as well as have a friend (on the other side of the world) check with his computer. The problem is the same. Did you actually double-check the issue with a IE7 browser?

That sounded a bit grumpy, sorry about that.
Not how it was meant. Just a tad frustrated.

Hey Patrick

Sad that this is happening but it brings to mind something that I ran into about 4 months ago. I had placed the code on my site and it interacted with code from another feature on my page and I was able to see everything fine with FF and Opera but my IE was useless. My IE is broke you might say because the XP pro I am using is lacking certain files to make java work properly in IE. I cannot replace them without a full system reinstall. I just don't need IE badly enough to shuffle around 60 Gig of data around.

I see that in FF all your pages appear fine but when I go to IE I see blank pages for The latest, Lifestyle, Media and Forum...

Is there some commonality among those pages? Have you some sort of code installed that might interact with other codes on those pages? Is the code that you have gotten from your forum feature cross browser compatible in that it is friendly with the system and appears to IE?

Could you try to include one new page to your site and insert the code from only the flash menu on it? That way we can see if it may be a code related issue.

I will add that after seeing the Corned Beef Hash I am going out to buy some tomorrow because man does that look good...

Hey Ed, thanks for your input.
The commonality among those specific pages are one thing only - the Google Analytics code. It is interesting that you get nothing on those pages because they work fine from my two computers as well as a friends computer. The only thing not appearing for us is the flash menu itself.
I did a test on the menu before I launched it live on my testpage. Unfortunately, I forgot to test it with IE (I know, big mistake - but I was tired). I'm doing the test again on the test-page, this time with IE and I'll let you know what happens.

Test made on test-page and the problem remains.
Only, this time it says 'Error on page' on the bottom of the page.
This happens regardless of whats on the page (I did the test with absolutely nothing but the menu as well). Again - in Firefox everything works fine.
I'm leaving the menu on the test-page, you can find it here: http://theportal.synthasite.com/testp...

So it seems to not work for me in IE and I think that you want a menu which will function on all browsers and for all viewers so I don't know what to say other than maybe another flash menu might work for you.

I used this one myself before I changed over to a imagemap menu with my floating bees so you might think about using them. I created a site to explain how to implement it with Synthasite and the tutorial needed here
http://free-flash-menus.synthasite.com/

This is their main site here
http://www.flashvortex.com/index.php

I know for 100% certainty that these will not fail you and will show up for all your visitors in all browsers. There are literally thousands of combinations and possibilities.

They charge a small fee to get a yearly membership and use of the entire site. I did it and it was truly worth it because not only do they have great menus but they have a great assortment of banners to use on your site. You can see some example of the banners on my index page at the bottom. Once you have a membership you can remove the link back to their website and your menu and banners will have nothing but your content.

I will check on the flash menu maker that you use shortly and maybe I can figure it out. I looked at their website briefly but do not have the time today to invest in it...

Happy site building
Ed
