Hi meetoloveu2,

These are the usual steps for adding disqus to your blog:

1. To get the comment code, your site needs to be published.
2. Click on the "Blog Manager" button.
3. Click on the "Settings" tab.
4. Click on the "Disqus" logo to visit www.disqus.com and register for an account.
5. Submit your URL on Disqus and click on "Done".
6. Click on "Install the Generic Code".
7. Copy the "generic code #1".
8. Paste the code back in the dialogue box (Settings) on Yola.
9. Preview your page or Republish your site to view the comment feature.

You only need to add the code to your site once, and the comment feature will be enabled for all of your posts. You can then log in to your Disqus account to moderate any comments.

Note that the comment box will only show up on your published site when you click on one of your post titles and scroll to the bottom of the post.

Instructions are also available here: http://blog.disqus.net/2009/07/09/gui...

Once you have added the code to your site, you will need to click on the "Update My Site" button to apply the changes to your live site.

If someone wants to leave you a comment they will need to click on the blog post and then scroll to the bottom of the page where they will see a box for comments.

Please let me know if this does not solve your problem.

Hi meetoloveu2 - I just answered you on this thread: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/put.... If you're looking for the URL of a particular blog post, you can go to that post on your published site and copy the address in the address bar at the top of your browser. Blog posts are not included in the link editor and you would need to add them as an external URL.

Everything is fine up until step 6, i get no option to install generic code, i get one embed code and a comment count code, it tells me to add things to code it's not given me... this is what i see:

1.In your Yola admin, head over to Blog Manager > Settings.

2.Copy and paste the following embed code anywhere into your page.

3.Copy the following comment count code and paste it right before the closing tag.

4.Append #disqus_thread to the end of permalinks. The comment count code will replace the text of these links with the comment count.

I've copied all given codes into the blog manager, i have no idea what to do...

Hello Darklights

Just copy the code in the first box. This will enable your commenting platform to work. I am looking into how the other codes work - but these are not integral to your commenting platform functioning. Please let me know if further assistance is needed.

I just started using html comment box and they seem satisfactory.

here, check it out... http://youcanneverbetoosmart.com/agri...

below the table of comments are four links, dispute, discuss, add, and cite information on this page... by clicking on one of those links it takes you to a page where I use html comment box... and it seems good so far.

I can suggest you php form as a perfect tool for building web forms. Just take the code and insert it into your blog.

Hi Razor27 - thank you for the suggestion, but it's not possible to add PHP code to your Yola site.
