Help me understand what Wufoo is talking about!

A while back I asked you how to increase the font size on the "Fill out my form!" link to my Wufoo form. I was told to ask Wufoo for help, but here is their reply:

"Hi there, the code we give you is just the plain link markup and so if you the styling for what it will look like on your web site is controlled by you. You'll have to check through your web site editor to see how to make it larger. Kevin--Infinity Box Inc. support@wufoo.com"

I have no idea what this means! Can you help me? I just want the text "Fill out my form!" to be bigger. (it came automatically with the form)
thanks,
Donna

That's a really good question, Donna. I've been trying to work this out for a while.

Hey Donna

Because the code that you are getting from wufoo is just html, you can edit the size by adding a font html tag to that code when you enter it into html widget in SynthaSite.

Do the following in your wufoo tag: replace ">Fill out my form!" with "Fill out my form!"

Change the size field to increase or decrease size.

If you want to put even more emphasis on the form you can embed it directly into your page by dropping the Wufoo form widget on your page in SynthaSite and adding the code you get from clicking on "embed form code" in Wufoo.

Let us know if this works!

Am I an idiot? I made the change you suggested but nothing has changed. Am I really supposed to just write "font" in there, or something more descriptive? What is the "size field" you mentioned? Sorry if I'm being dense here, but I just can't figure it out!

Hi donna and L.i.G

What you are looking to do is not that difficult to accomplish. I have written a step by step tutorial for you...

1) Goto https://secure.wufoo.com/login/
2) Log into your account
3) In the upper toolbar of your form manager click "Theme"
4) In the (Theme) drop down box ensure that it says "Create new"
5) In the (Properties) drop down box click "Typography"
6) Click on the part of the form you wish to enlarge the text on "Title, description, section title, field title, field text or instructions"
7) Adjust the font, the size and or color
8) You can adjust other options like logo, backgrounds, borders, shadows, and buttons as well
9) After you have made your changes then click the GREEN "Save theme" button
10) In the popup box name your theme
11) Click "Submit"
12) Return to your form manager page
13) Find the form you have created and to the right you will see a drop down box that says (Default theme) click the drop down arrow and then select your newly named theme.
14) For the form you wish to use click "Code"
15) Click "Embedded form code"
16) Highlight all the code and then "copy"
17) Paste into your form widget on the page you are editing.
18) Then update your site

Your form should have the changes you made and have the larger fonts.

See that wasn't too hard ;)

Happy site building
Ed

Thank you Ed and Charlene, but neither of these suggestions have fixed my problem.
Charlene, I tried you suggestion and I don't see that it changed anything.
Ed- I went through each of the typography catagories in Wufoo themes, (as I did when I built my form), but none of them changed the "fill out my form!" link that appears on my webpage. This "Fill out my form!" thing just seemed to come automatically from Wufoo, (I never even named it that- it just appeared).
If anyone has other suggestions, I'm willing to try them!
L.i.G.-did anything work for you?
thanks for the effort

Hi Donna.

It was nice of Ed to leave the above instructions though that's not what I was looking for. I know what you're wanting because that's what I've been trying to do as well. With the example that Charlene's written below it should work, I think. As for the Fill out my form! That's just a default setting on the behalf of Wufoo. You can change that to whatever you like when you're pasting it into your html widget. Where it says Fill out my form! Just change it to contact us, contact me, click here or whatever you're wanting to instruct your visitor with.

Thanks Ed and Charlene. Much appreciated :-)

Hi Donna,

So we don't miss anything: - Here is the example code I used to test this and wish I had success with:

first part of wufoo code.....> < font size = 5 >Fill out my form! < /font >< /a >

Remove the spaces in < font size = 5 > and < /font >< /a >. Don't remove the space between font and size.

I put spaces in as this commenting box allows html and you won't be able to read my comment here.

See http://www.ehow.com/how_2077969_chang... for details.
