Help. My image won't embed in my site | Yola Customer Community

Hi

I am trying to upload a 1.53 MB jpg image to my site but am unable to. The image has uploaded but won't embed in the site when I use the image widget. Please advise. Thanks

Hi zaff

Although we allow you to upload files of up to 5MB, 1.53MB is very big and is not a web friendly size for an image. Images should be between 20 and 100KB, depending on how many you have on your page. With an image of 1.53MB your page will struggle to load on your published site. My first suggestion would be to compress the image using Photoshop's "save for web" function, or go to Picnik.com directly where you will be able to use their "save and share" function to compress your file.

Secondly you could email the image file as an attachment to support@synthasite.com so that we can check whether there is anything besides the size that is causing a problem with embedding the image in your page
