I want to have a my own RSS feed on my website (e.g. my news updates not the BBC, CNN or Reuters etc..) but I know absolutely nothing about making an RSS feed etc...
I have read numerous articles on the subject and have tried to modify the html in the excellent example given in http://www.tipsandtricks.synthasite.c....

However, basically, I cannot grasp this procedure at all and, as a result, I do not have any idea of what or where I am meant to modify text nor what I'm meant to do with it.

Will some kind soul please be tolerant enough to walk me through this procedure from start to finish (layman's terms are good)

Kindest Regards

Hi, you can use 3rd party apps to create a RSS from your own content.
First , try whether it automatically detect your PAGE as a feed-able.

Else , Google for 'anysitefeed' (use the exact phase, it is a trademark).
Then, use a service to generate feed from your page.

Finally, simply link your feed from that page.!

Hello Mark

I assume you want to use your blog as your feed? To find your blog feed URL, all you need to do is add .rss to the end of the URL for your blog page instead of .php. So, an example would be:

Then you can add this URL to an RSS Widget.

1. Open the "Advanced" folder on the sidebar to your right.
2. Drag and drop the "RSS feed" Widget onto your page.
3. Click on "Edit" on the green widget tool bar
4. In the properties sidebar click on "edit your link"
5. A link editor will open up. You need to replace the default URL with a URL of a feed that you want - e.g.
6. When you are done click "OK" in the link editor and then click "apply" in the properties side bar.

An RSS feed with automatically updated links on the subject of your choice will be added to your site.

Alternatively, you can easily add your blog RSS feed to your site with a widget from our Widgetbox Gallery, this is how:

1. Drag and drop a Widgetbox Gallery Widget onto your page.
2. A dialog box will open, search for 'RSS' to see all the widgets available.
3. Choose the RSS feed you would like to use on your site.
4. Edit your settings to customize your widget.
5. Click on the green 'Get Widget' button and it will be saved and added to your page.
6. Save and preview your page to view the widget.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if it does not.
