Hi, Jesse,

There are a number of alternatives but what you are looking for is something that provides an embed code that you can paste into an HTML Widget or something that is online where you don't have to install anything and you can link to it. A Google search for online shopping cart may produce what you are looking for. One that comes to mind, that I have seen used with Yola is Mal's ecommerce: http://www.mals-e.com/

I hope this is helpful!

Hi Jesse

Further to Diane's suggestion, if you would like to experiment with PayPal, there is a way to create a customized payment page. See this link for more details: PayPal's custom payment pages.

We do not have any more news about when we will be releasing the memberships feature. Keep watching our forums for news though!

Jesse glad you like ecwid, great think about ecwid is it fits in with the colour scheme of the website and lots edit ability. Your site/store is looking very good, just one thing, try and make all the picture the same size when on the same page.

I've registered with Ecwid, but when I tried to paste the HTML code into Yola, it said you do not accept Javascript. How do I integrate Ecwid?

Hmm... You may need to use a different browser? Or check with the settings on your browser... Also double check your copying ALL of the code and the correct codes. If all else fails contact yola support

I went on the Ecwid help forum, and there's something I'm missing. It wouldn't be the first time LOL

I copied the codes twice, and both times when I published and refreshed, I got demo photos of vegetables. So something's working, it's just not what I want.

Ecwid actually said their HTML doesn't work with YOLA's WYSIWYG. They said to use "plain" HTML, but don't send you to where to find it. I just wish computer techies would speak in plain language!

Come on, you said the vegetables are helpful!

I already have Paypal set up on my website. I want to offer a free .pdf download that visitors receive when they submit their email address.

I want a separate process from my already-installed Paypal, as PP is archaic and will only send clients ONE referral back to a URL, and no download links at all.

Therefore, I need visitors who submit email addresses to receive only a download link to this .pdf. Not a Paypal message giving them information on accessing my services. Thank you.

OK. Ecwid has a facility for digital products as you have mentioned. I haven't used it but if you go to their forum and or KB they will certainly have an outline for you.

If you want to do this out of Ecwid there are a number of facilities that offer dig prods with time limited download links or single downloads to protect your work.

I am hearing you. I am trying to give you explanations, options or workarounds that may help you.

If I have misunderstood you then I am sorry. I am happy to keep working with you on this if you like.

If you want an out of e-com facility to send the PDF then other options will need to be explored.

If you need clarification of the ecwid setup then their video is a really good starting point and gives a fine overview of the process and capabilities of the store.
