OK, now what please. Am logging in but unable to enter any html in html widget. won't let me put cursor - however, it will let me highlight text in the html and delete or type over, but cannot put my cursor in to where I want to do what I want = the placement of cursor has disappeared This also applies to text boxes.
site: www.newzealandartworkshops.yolasite.com
If I want to type in a text box - it works ok.
If I want to go into html in text box - won't let me enter anything in the code.
Have logged out of site and gone back in again also. Still not working.
What is happening ???? Assistance please.

JenC, I don't know if I can help with this, but I've posted in the past about the absence of a cursor in my html widget boxes. The good thing is that even though the cursor does not appear, I can still do cursor-related functions. I just choose, for example, where I want to paste some text by going through the motions exactly as though my cursor was there. (I think it is there, actually. It's just that I can't see it.) Then I can paste with no problem. Just as an example of a cursor-dependent function.

When I asked about this a few weeks ago, it was suggested that I should update my Flash. However, my Flash program is very new (v. 10.xx) and I just don't think the problem is on my end. Some other people have also posted about this problem.

Keara, hello there. Thanks for this. Yes that's what I have done. But really frustrating and saw others had same problem. All my computer is updated with latest updates, so like you, not there. Did yours come back again? Which I assume it did, ?
thanks

No, Jen, my cursor is almost never there. About once in every 20 times, maybe I do have a visible cursor. But most of the time, no. I agree that this is something Yola needs to address. It might even be something very quick and easy to fix. But we really should be able to have cursors!

Jen, do you have a cursor in your text widget? Now that's really essential! If it hasn't come back yet, but suggestion would be to try shutting your computer down and rebooting. That cures so many ills. :-)

Hey guys

I'm sorry to hear that the cursor is still a problem. Unfortunately, I am not able to replicate. Can you please let me know what browser and version you are using?

Sanja,
ok, I did do the closing out bit previously thinking this may be a hiccup. Same problem. No cursor either as I said in the text or html widgets (neither of them show the cursor!). As Keara said, she has same problem now and it has remained invisible. You can take the mouse where you wish and the straight line for cursor appears but is unable to be placed anywhere at all in the page, so you just have to type what you want where you have your mouse. If you take your mouse away and go to do something else have a coffee or something, and come back to insert code, then you have no idea where the cursor previously was in order to keep typing (or perhaps I should say invisible cursor) . As the straight line flashing of the cursor just does not appear.

This seems to be a hiccup with Yola...... and Firefox (latest version?) - as I have just updated to 3.6 .

I have logged in using other browsers, ie Opera, Safari and IE, and they all work. so...... must be a hiccup with latest Firefox? I think I remember UK Duke also mentioning some problem he also had with latest version.

Apparently, I shall be using Opera from now on in design of Yola (I do not like IE), if this cursor business cannot be resolved.

Keara question for you.... are you also using this also?

Does Yola need to address this? As the latest Firefox is very very good.

?? thks JenC

Thanks for this detailed information. It does appear to be a bug but it is uncertain if the issue with us or with the latest version of Firefox. I am using a slightly older version and am not having any issue.

I have logged it and will leave it in the hands of our engineers :)

Thanks for your patience as this gets sorted out.

Oops, meant to say in previous comment, will be using Safari, not Opera.
As do like Safari (probably from the Mac days).

Just to add to this thread, I too have hit and miss luck with the cursor showing in the HTML Editor. Sometimes it shows, other times not. I'm using Firefox 3.6 and have had problems daily with it hogging my CPU up to 100% at times. From searching online, apparently I'm alone.

Back on topic: I suggest using Notepad or another text editor to write the code. Then in the html widget, select all, copy and paste. It also keeps the code a litte more compressed with less white space.

I do everything in HTMLPad Pro (30 days free, $35 to buy) Editor then c&p into the Yola editor. Works great as I can preview what I've done before pasting. I am not affiliated the software other than having used it for at least 5 years and still loving it.

Hello all,

This has been fixed and you should now be seeing the cursor when in your HTML Widget again. Thanks for your patience while we worked on that!
