I need some help with my web site. can anyone please send me a tutorial or help on the below issues?
1. can I create a page or pages that do not show up on the web site menu but can be accessed by a link from a different page i.e. news articles I want a page to have about 5 -8 links on news so that each link will open on a different page.
2. I have a log on page and if someone puts the wrong login info I want the button to go to a page that says log in invalid. how do I make that button work and link to the invalid page?

Thank you
Thomas

Hi Thomas

For question 1 read this http://www.yola.com/tutorials/creatin...

Question 2 - you would have to tell us more about the log in your using. Are you using password protected pages or somekind of external widget?

Hello Thomas,

Creating pages not included in your menu is well documented in this tutorial:
http://www.yola.com/tutorials/creatin...
Designed exactly for you requirement.

The login page:

Unfortunately, it is not possible to have different passwords for different web pages, nor several different passwords per one page. You can use the password protect feature, but the pages you've locked will all be protected by the same password. Here's the detailed information about the password protect feature:

Yola allows you to create a private website, or make part of your site private by password protecting certain pages on your site.
What this feature allows you to do:
1. Assign a single log in ID (username) and password to your site.
2. Choose whether you want to lock (password protect) all the pages on your site.
3. You can then share the log in ID and password with people you want to give access to the protected pages.
4. When they access those pages they will be asked to type in the log in ID and password before being given access.

What this feature does not do:
1. Allow people to register for a username and password on your site. This is a registration feature hoped to be released in future.

How to use the Password Protection feature:
1. Click on the Site Manager tab
2. Click on "Site Password Protection" underneath the list of pages of your site
3. Add a login and password and tick the pages you would like to protect
4. To make the change effective on your live site, click on the yellow 'Update my Site' button

re-directing an invalid attempt is not something I have done or seen done on Yola. There maybe someone who has this feature on their site and be able to advise you.
