Help with .swf file

Hithere.
I have a certain flash (swf) movie on a page of my website that seems to be giving me issues. The file in my file manager is named "AboutMe.swf". My code was working fine, and so was the swf movie. I wanted to update the file with a new movie today, so I uploaded the new swf movie under the same name, "AboutMe.swf", and so naturally it replaced the old one.

While wroking in the Yola builder, the swf movie (updated) works fine, but even after I've publishe dmy changes, when I view my site it shows the old movie. I've tried everything, from uploading the file again, adding a new HTML widget, even deleting the page and creating it again. Help!

Hi Sims Addict,

This is an issue I have had in the past with uploading files with the same filename.
The new file sometimes takes a while to update and "come through". I know this is not really what you want to hear, but if you change the filename to something else and update the swf link to the same filename, you should see the new movie "changes" straight away.

P.S. your password and login does not work for me?

Apologies login should be all lowercase. Ok I'll try that tomorrow. And feedback. Thanks. :)

Hello Sims Addict

In addition to what Boomer said, you may also want to try clearing the cache in your browser to see if that helps as well.

Please do let us know how this goes!

Hello Sims

I've attached a screenshot of what I see when I visited your site. Please let me if this looks correct or not. Thanks.

I've cleared my cache and still nothing. However that image above is correct?! I wonder if it's just an issue on my side...I'm still seeing my old movie.

Hello there Sims,
I also see the above image. Could you please try another browser and see if you are still unable to see the update?
Many thanks for working with us on this.

Used another browser (safari) on another computer and still no luck. So I deleted the movie, took out the HTML widget, uploaded the movie under a different name - "Me" - and altered the code accordingly. Movie seems to be working fine now on my side in all browsers.

Thanks so much for all the help and suggestions!
Brandon :)
