Hidden Option to Cancel AutoRenewal!

Please cancel my account immediately and return funds taken from my PayPal account forthwith. I have raised the issue of unauthorised billing to my account with PayPal today. I do not wish to renew my subscription and I would have made you aware of this had I known about the issue of automatic renewal. I also intend reporting Yola to my local Trading Standards Authority here in UK today.
I have only just found out how to cancel this "Auto renewal" feature, it seems well hidden, I'm sure this will be highly relevant to my local Trading Standards Officer.

Hello Liz,

I am sorry you are frustrated. I can confirm that your subscriptions have been cancelled as per your request. Our auto-renewal agreement is provided when you purchase your subscription, and an email reminder was sent to you prior to your renewal.

In order to cancel your subscriptions you simply need to email us. This information is available on our FAQs page. This is standard industry best practice for services that need to be available on a perpetual basis.

In order to review your refund request please could you submit a support request here: https://www.yola.com/support/contact or head to the Support tab at the top of this page.

Thank you!

Hello Jackie,

how long with it take for my PayPal account to be credited?

I have deleted my Yola account as I am not happy with the service nor the practice

of "Automatic Renewal" I feel is lacks transparency and is poor business practice.

I believe the practice of ""Automatic Renewal" is currently under investigation by the

UK Consumer Right Authority.

Regards

Liz.

Hello Liz,

I couldn't agree more. This is an abhorrent practice and needs to be replaced with a choice by subscribers to auto-renew or manually review and renew. I prefer to auto-renew but there is no doubt that others do not wish this. The FAQ's are buried deeply with in fact 2 FAQ's causing additional confusion. The relevant FAQ's are not even specific links on the bottom of this page.

Consumers don't need to be patronised and should always remain in control of their funds rather than be buried in confusion as it appears a recurrent theme on this forum. It is awful that some users have lost their domains and continuity but they should still have the mechanism to make mistakes in their own way!

Hello Gop

Thanks for your reply it's reassuring to know others can see my viewpoint

On this, I am currently awaiting a response from Yola on the return of my funds.

As you say, customers of Yola don't need to be patronised and some of us

prefer to take a more hands on approach to renewals. I was sent an email by

Yola about two weeks ago but it only mentioned renewal of the domain name

I find it suspect that they failed to mention the cost of renewing my subscription

which was three times this cost, so making it seem very cheap!

I, like most people, don't like underhand practices in business. I think we've all seen

enough "dodgy" business practice over the past few years.

I for one will not stand silently and watch these dodgy business practices continue.

Yola need to realise this....:-)

Kind regards

Liz
