Hi I guess this is a dumb question but here goes.
i have images in a text box/widget each image is linked to external websites see here. What i would like to know, how do i edit the link connected to an image in a text box/widget, i know how to edit links connected to images connected to a image widget but seems i only have the option to add a link with images in a text widget. Not a big problem but does mean if i notice i made a mistake i.e spelling, forgot to tick "open in new window" box and so on i need to set up the link as new no option to just edit/update it.

Thanks
R

Hello Richard,

Generally we suggest using the Image Widget for all images and image links - it is not possible to add a redirecting link to an image added to the new Text Widget. Although looking at your Newspaper page, with several images alongside each other, you might also consider using the Old Text Widget which allows you to link images added to it. You'll find the old Text Widget next to the new one in the Sitebuilder. I hope this helps!

lyall thanks for the quick reply
actually the new text widget does allow images to link to external websites, just not edit or update the link when finished, so not a big issue just a pain if you just want to change something small. I just checked the old text widget and seems it will allow updating of links in an image without the need to do it all again. my pages have simple formatting, i want a clean page layout so i hope the old text widget will work fine, Thanks again R
EDIT: i have just noticed the old text widget does not allow hover text to the link also if the tick box to open in a new window was ticked its not when you go back to edit so maybe best i stick with the new text widget and make sure i get it right first time ;)

Hi Richard, that was silly of me, ofcourse you can link images in the new Text Widget. You are right in that the link remains in the old Text Widget, and that it is annoying to update small changes if the info disappears after the initial edit. I'll look into the retention of info issue in the new Text Widget and update you when I have further word on that. Enjoy your weekend!
