Hi Deb

Unfortunately we do not currently offer video hosting. You can use a service like tinypic (http://tinypic.com/) to upload and share you videos. Just cut and paste the HTML code into an HTML widget (which you simply drag and drop onto your page).

I hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi,

I need help!!! URGENT! I want to add a video of my own onto my website which I haven't yet launched. Would you perhaps know a code so I wouldn't have to use Google, Youtube, etc because the video is for work purposes only. Thank You so much and any help is greatly appreciated.

You can add your own video but it must be under 15 MB if you're using Yola Free or 100MB with Yola Pro. Upload to your file manager then add this code in an HTML widget:

<embed src="resources/yourmoviename.mov" width="640" height="496" autoplay="true" controller="true" type="video/quicktime" scale="tofit" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/downlo...; </embed>

Put this on a test page first to see if it works okay. I have some difficulty with the sitebuilder with the movie covering up stuff but it can be worked around.

does this still work?  My customer has video, but I doubt she wants to upload it to Youtube.

The last time I checked it still worked. Why don't you test it in your account to make sure Caitlin?

Hi Kbob,

We don't currently have a tool that allows you to upload your video and play it on your Yola site. But I can suggest an alternative: upload your video onto another website like Youtube or Metacafe and then add one of those widgets to your page on Yola and browse for your uploaded video.

To add a video to your page, follow these few simple steps:

1. Open the "video" folder on the right hand side of the screen and drag and drop a Youtube or Metacafe icon onto your page.
2. In the properties sidebar on the right, click on the "browse" link.
3. Browse Youtube or Metacafe for the video you want to embed in your site.
4. Copy the URL for the video from your browser window.
5. Paste the URL over the default URL in the properties sidebar in Yola. Hit "Enter" and then click "Apply".

Your video will then be embedded in your web page.

Depending on what sort of file your video is, here is a work around that you may wish to try.

To embed a wmv, wma, swf, flv, mov, or rm file into your site, please follow these steps:

1. Locate the URL of your file. e.g. http://yourdomain.yolasite.com/resour....
2. Please go to freevideocoding.com.
3. Select the media you want to post.
4. Enter your Media file location (the URL of your file)
5. Select "Embed the Player".
6. Click on "Make HTML" button.
7. Highlight and copy the code provided.
8. Drag and drop an HTML widget and paste in the code.
9. Click "OK".

You should see your video working. Please note that there is a buffering period - the speed of this is dependent on the speed of your internet's server.

I hope you can find a solution that will work for your site.
