How can I back-up my current site design?

Is there a way to back-up all that I've done with my site?

I want to explore another template, but want a way to easily return to what I have just in case.

Thanks,

Jewel

Hi, Jewel,

The easiest way to test changes is to create a new site. By making the change to a template on your current site, you will lose such changes as your banner, background, etc. and you can't revert to an earlier version.

You can download your site by clicking on the arrow on the green publishing button and you will see "download site" in the drop down box and click on that. However, this is really for use if you are hosting the site elsewhere (although it's always a good idea to keep a copy of it).

Thank-you I had this question earlier but it did not quite get answered!

Thanks, Diane. Your reply is helpful.

But does this mean my backup cannot be uploaded to my Yola site? I can only use it if ever I decide to host the site elsewhere?

Thanks,

Jewel

That is correct. Because of the nature of the Sitebuilder, you can't upload this. It is similiar to not being able to use your own template. I hope that makes sense!

I guess I am not too happy with that!
