On this page... http://youcanneverbetoosmart.synthasi... ... every link is broken (404 Not Found)... can I fix these? They ARE NOT broken in my blog but they are when you go here and webmaster is showing them as broken. I'd like to fix them so webmaster doesn't show them as broken... how is this possible? What I can tell, is that these links added the 'blog.php' in each link which is not the way it is in my blog. Help very much appreciated.

What can I say but wow that's a weird one... I thought it was an easy one and posted a quick reply with what I thought was the correct answer but then I had to delete it when I looked at your blog page source and the feed source and they did not match. That pesky php addition is a new one for me... ;)

This is nothing you did but a glitch in the system and cannot so easily be remedied by us. There is a work around and that is to use the full URL address of each page of your blog when you link the text to that page. You simply will have to open up each page in your browser and copy the full URL to paste as a link. This negates the problem I believe as you are using the full URL instead of relying upon the system to tell it where to go.

Sad, but right now I see that as being the only sure fire way around the broken pages my friend...

Happy site building

ok, I'm not concerned about actually having the ability to visit the pages, if the link is still there, it will still be recognized by webmasters as a broken link and what I believe may contribute to decreasing my page rank which is my main concern. MAYBE YOLA CAN FIX THIS SOMEHOW **HINT** **HINT**

As I am aware feeds do not directly effect the page rank of a blog page. They are however indexed as their own page and do come up in searches so it may be wise to ensure that each link functions correctly...

Is it worth the extra 30 minutes to change the links from the internal page to the external URL to ensure they are correct? It is up to you...

I wonder what the cause of the added php is??? hmmm interesting indeed

yes, I understand what you're saying but it's not about the feed... it's about webmasters. From what I understood is ANYTHING negative in webmasters such as broken links could negatively affect your page rank but I'm not a master at creating sites and optimizing yet. I am getting better, I just can't seem to understand why after about 4 months of constantly trying to optimize I still am not ranked by google yet (I am indexed, just not ranked). I can search any keyword on my site and still not find the results within the first five pages and most of my keywords aren't even on the first ten pages of results. Although I do get the occassional hit through a search engine search, it's not as effective as I would like. I get maybe one visitor every week that way and with about 65 DIFFERENT topics to be found and 117 pages indexed. I also have about 500 pictures ALL with alternative text (allowing to be found on a search engine search) but still don't get much traffic that way. By the way, beautiful site Honey Bear Playhomes, wish I could have one made for my kids :)
