How can I further customise my site?

Hi There,

This is my site: http://www.shellspoultry.com/ .

I am wanting to know how, if possible, I can change the dark grey colour, the text of the menu bar, and the annoying little stars that separate the menu items. I have tried other styles, but this one is the one that suits me best as far as the banner goes (the size of the pic with the heading beside it).

I am a technological retard, please bare in mind! :) I have the bronze package.

Cheers, Michelle

Hello Michelle,

You can do this.

You mention that you have a Bronze subscription so the fix must be added to each page of your site.

Please add this code into an HTML widget that you drag onto each of your pages:

<style type="text/css">
div.sys_navigation ul li a {
background: none;
color: #F6F4EE;
display: inline-block;
font-size: 13px;
padding: 10px 23px 10px 35px;
text-decoration: none;
text-shadow: 0 1px 0 #000000;
}</style>

This will remove the stars separating the titles of your navigation menu.

Can you tell me the what you mean by the text? Do you wish to have another font or to change the size of the existing font?

Finally the dark grey colour. Can you describe exactly which element you wish to change the colour? Happy to work with you on this.

Hello Michelle

While I appreciate Gop's knowledgeable assistance for you with this, the edits you'd like to make are part of your sitewide Site CSS, and these are only available to Yola Silver. If you'd like to use this feature, please upgrade to our Premium package.

You can do this with "embedded stylesheets" as above, which can be done with Bronze these are not sitewide they are only on a per page basis.which is why you have to place them on each page.

Hi Gop

The solution you've provided is a workaround, and as such we cannot assist with this or encourage using it. We advise upgrading to Yola Silver because this type of edit would be both easier and safer using the Custom CSS feature, especially if users feel that they may be less tech-savvy.
