I have a website from Canada and would like to give Canadian customers free shipping. Due to higher prices with international shipping I would like to charge anyone outside of Canada shipping fees. Can I do this?

Hello Alex,

This can certainly be done.

Create 2 shipping zones. 1 for canada and the other for the rest of the world.

I'll give you the specific reference in a bit if you don't mind waiting a while. OK?

On a point of interest the Chinese have jumped on this issue and offering their users very low shipping costs presumably to boost exports and many vendors are offering free shipping from China with a guarantee and tracking as well. Wonder if we can all sign up with Air China Post? Wonder if our own Govts will take a lead?

Alex as mentioned above, you create two shipping zones (Canada and the rest of the world).
Then create one shipping method and assign two rates to it. One rate per each zone.

If you need specific details for this please let me know and I'm happy to work with you on this.
