How can I hide my site from search engines?

IS there some HTML I can use to prevent search engines (esp Google) from picking up on my site?

Hello Martin,

You can prevent Google indexing your site by adding a robots.txt file with some specific statements in it. There's a description in Google's webmasters tools.

The only problem is that you can't use Synthasite to do this as there's no access to the root directory.

Thanks Peter. That is correct. If more people need this we would have to look into a solution from our side, but right now it is not possible.

Ok - big shame. Means I will have to use a password I guess... not ideal. Please add this functionality soon? Loving synthasite otherwise.
