How can I pay my domain renewal using Pay Pal instead of a credit card?

I have set my business bookeeping system so that every transaction on paypal is recorded and accounted for, and it makes my life so easy when keeping track of my business. I don't want to have to use a credit card to pay for the domain renewal because then I have to go and manually enter the expense. I'd rather just pay through pay pal. How can I do this? This is how I paid for it when I started with Yola last year. Thanks !

Hello Rivkah,

Login to your sitebuilder > Account (Payment Methods)

Select: Add a new payment method

Select: PayPal and OK.

Hello Rivkah

Unfortunately it won't be as easy as Gop advised above. As your subscriptions are on auto-renewal using your credit card, we will need to turn off auto-renewal first. Then you will need to manually renew your subscriptions when they are due, and this will give you the opportunity to add PayPal as your new payment method. After you've renewed your subscriptions using PayPal, your subscriptions will be on auto-renewal again. You will be able to remove your credit card as a payment method, and for your next auto-renewals, your PayPal payment method will be charged.

Did you know that your Yola Bronze expired last year and that your Yola account has been downgraded to Yola Free? This means that your Yola website should actually be offline, but because of a technical issue it seemed to stay online. The auto-renewal of your Yola Bronze subscription has been turned off, and you will need to manually renew it as soon as you can. You will be able to add PayPal as your payment method for this transaction.

Please note that your website will soon go offline and your Yola Mail will be deactivated as you need to renew your Yola Bronze hosting package with us to go on using these services.

Sorry Rivkah for the bum steer. Glad Stefan picked this and the subsequent issues up for you. Pity to suspend all that hard work from the web.

Stefan that's not true, I let the website go down for several months and then just last week, I paid again and then it went back up. This time around, I chose the free version because it's good enough for now. I will call Yola and try to straighten this out

OK, I tried calling Yola but could not reach a live person. I left a message. I'm very nervous now. Stefan, what you said is not true... as I mentioned before I did pay to renew my website, and I don't want it to go down, and I don't want to lose access to my mail. I also need help turning off auto-renewal and changing my payment method to pay pal. The renewal is supposed to happen on the 21st. I need help....

Rivkah,

You should be able to renew with PayPal now according to what Stefan wrote above:

Hello Rivkah

In our system I can see that you successfully renewed your Yola Bronze hosting package, your domain, and Yola Mail yesterday. The last time you renewed a monthly Yola Bronze package was in July 2012 according to our system.

So now everything seems to be fine as your subscriptions are all up and running. I can also see that you successfully paid using PayPal. If you want, you can now remove your credit card payment method from your Yola account. To do this, please go to your My Yola and click on "Payment methods" in the left-hand side menu.

I can see that you have two Yola Mail mailboxes now, and that one of them hasn't been set up. Please let me know should you have purchased the second mailbox by mistake, and we'll be able to remove it and refund it for you.

If you have any questions or should you encounter any problems with your subscriptions, please let me know, and we'll take care of it as soon as possible.

Thank you for using Yola!

Hi Stefan, thank you SO much for following up with me. You guys are great!
Yes, I did manage to get through on the phone after all, and I did get help upgrading and everything. It seems that something went wrong when I did it last week, but now it is good to go. You are right, I do have two mailboxes but that was a mistake. It seems to have happened last year when I changed my domain to Yola. I didn't want a second mailbox, but the girl that I spoke to yesterday told me that I have to pay for the renewal and then the customer service will refund the second mailbox since its not clear how it ended up on my account anyway... I only need one. I thought that was weird but whatever lol! I'm not sure how long it will take for the refund to be completed..... Is there any way you can look into it? The reference number she gave me is 00430532.
Thank you so much for all of your help. I really appreciate it!

So, this was fast: Your refund has been processed. The money will go back to the payment method you used for it which is displayed as a credit card in our system. I hope that's fine as it cannot be changed. We'll remove the refunded mailbox soon from your Yola account, and then everything should be as you want it! :-)
