Hi everyone! Is there any way to put my sites on a CD and view them as if I'm viewing them on the internet? (except really it's offline). More specifically, will I be able to click on the navigation and will it lead me to the other sites?
Thank you.

Hello PMJ,

There are free facilities available for continuous blocks of screen captures into a movie recorded as a file. I am not aware of any that will maintain hotlinks that allow you mouse navigation out of the movie to the link.

A free capture that works well and gives you up to 5 minutes recording is http://www.jingproject.com/. This one is particularly good and was used a few days ago for a tutorial here on synthasite: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

I hope this can give you a lead.

you can do this for any site page - Firefox example - from the menu go to 'file' - 'save as' then save it to your CD - all your links will work fine (as long as the computer is connected to the internet at the time!)
You will have to go through page by page, there is also software that will download an entire site - go to download.com and search for 'save entire site' web zip and others do this job, also you can downlaod your site through synthasite.
So yes there are ways to do it - good luck - Lee.
