Hello Paul

I'm not sure if the following will be an option for you, but if you don't mind working with a bit of HTML code, you're welcome to try these marquees, one of them for text and one of them for pictures:

Text marquee

This is a simple scrolling text marquee you can add to your site. Drag an HTML Widget over and paste in the following code:
<div align="center"><FONT color="#ffffff" size="+1"><MARQUEE bgcolor="#000080" direction="right" width="75%"><STRONG>This is cool!</STRONG></MARQUEE></FONT></div>

You can change the following:
  • Font color - replace #ffffff with the hex value number of the color you want.

  • Size - can use numbers 1 -5 (1 being the smallest font size and 5 being the biggest)

  • bgcolor - this is the background color of the the box

  • direction - you can use either "right" or "left"

  • width - refers to the length of the box.

  • Replace the text "This is cool!" with your own text.

Picture marquee

What you need to do is generate the code for the marquee and paste it on your site. Here are the steps:
  1. Upload the images to your File Manager.

  2. Note down the image URLs (your domain name, followed by /resources/filename.jpg. Remember to include any folders in the path of the image, and replace "filename.jpg" with the actual filename of your image).

  3. Go to: TweakYourPage.

  4. They have a generator where you fill in the number of images you want for your marquee and the image URL's (the ones you wrote down in step 2 above).

  5. When you have generated the code, copy and paste it into an HTML Widget in Yola on the desired location of your page.

Hello Robby,

I wouldn't use that generator as there is some spyware lurking on their page.
