Hi Seta,

Are you trying to verify your site with Google Webmaster? We have a tutorial that has more info: http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/g...

You need to click your properties tab which is located on the right hand side next to content & then scroll down until you see Google Webmaster Code. Now for some reason when I added the meta tag given to me by Google it never worked when I copied the whole code given. Therefore after playing around with it I cut out the beginning part of the Google code & added it like this 5b9/LHn14oieuS2+MN1HONTNoqXdBJlaVR14bKeHXeo= this is altered for security reasons but just to give you the idea of how it should look. This fixed the problem straight away & my website was verified at Google Webmaster.
Anyway Good luck

Not very helpful, I'm sorry to say. The Employee suggestion was just off in left creek some where.
Frank's suggestion was somewhat useful, but didn't provide enough info to solve my problem, which is, I can't seem to verify my web page. There is no varification meta tag at the header of my home page.

Hello alternativebuild

The link Marije provided 3 years ago is not up to date any more – lucky Yola, we have developed a lot since then!

So what I understand from your post is that you try to verify your Yola website with Google Webmaster, is that correct? If so, please follow the exact steps in this tutorial: Google Webmaster tutorial.

You will get a verification code from Google. To add it as your verification meta tag to your Yola website there will be a special dialogue box in your Yola Sitebuilder where you can do that. The tutorial will guide you. Please let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Wow, I'm impressed with the prompt reply by you.
I'm sad to say however, that I'm still not getting what the tutorial depicts.

On the Webmaster Tools page, I select the button to "add a site", which I enter, "http://www.abr1.ca "
Instead of taking me to the next step in the tutorial, which I really do want to proceed to, it instead brings me to the Webmaster Tools, Dashboard page.
I'm not able to even see or attempt to enter a meta tag.

If you could help me with this I'd appreciate it.

FYI, on my web site's home page, in Site Settings, under Site Tracking Code, the Header Code box contains only the following entry;
has been found.
I would like to have such a tag.

Thanks for looking into this for me.

There seems to have been some information removed from my e-mail. Like the tag info I sent. Perhaps this is a security settings? But that's why the last paragraph seems to be a bit chunky.

Hello Rainer

Did you follow the steps in our tutorial Google Webmaster?

To add the code of your meta tag to your Yola website:
  1. In the upper menu bar of your Yola Sitebuilder, click on "Site" and choose "Site Settings".

  2. In the Site Settings dialogue box, click on "Google Webmaster" in the "Tracking" box.

  3. Enter your code into the field provided.

  4. Click on "All Settings" in the top left corner to commit the change and return to the Site Settings dialogue box.

  5. Republish your website.

For more information please see the tutorial (link above).
Let me know if you have any questions.
