Hi all :)

Im creating a gaming site but I dont think the font fits well with what im going for.

Is there a way to integrate my own font or downloaded ones?

and a little side question I tried going in the forums but the sites keep saying its down.

I want to add links to my images. How would I do it?

Thanks guys!I love this site so much. Im going to buy a domain. I just have to read up all the benefits of upgrading my account still =)

Hi Ruan,

There is more than 1 font in the text editor, just highlight the text you want styled then choose a different font from the list (see image below)

This is the best way to learn all about linking text and images http://www.yola.com/tutorials/creatin...

I'd recommend reading through the tutorials, they are really helpfull.

PS. i'm not sure what you mean about the forum not working - do you mean this forum?

Lee.

Thanks Lee you helped me on the image thing a lot.

Forum? No I meant some of the links in the “get help” page.

Okay I know about the font (with the selection and drop down menu to choose it) but is it possible to use my own?

Hi Smithy, the site url is www.gamershaven.yolasite.com

It’s a few of my friends and my idea. Its not just games but also technology, movies etc.

Still under heavy construction, but I would appreciate some comments on it :)

Okay to add to your answer UK Duke

I want to create a side panel but with photoshop. My idea was to create a side panel with each button on it and then when you click
On each respective button it will take you to the page. Almost like slicing a specific part on a large mpeg to link a segment to different pages.

Would this be possible?

Hello Spazz,

You were wondering about using your own fonts I see.

The font selection we have represents a complete list of browser safe fonts. See: Website Browser Safe Fonts. This means that the fonts in our text editor will work consistently in whatever browser your visitor uses. Unfortunately there are only a few fonts that work in all browsers. If we added any more fonts you would run the risk of not having your text display correctly for some of your visitors, which is why we have not added any of these fonts.

You could add custom fonts from an external source by copying and pasting, or editing the text HTML. However, you should be aware of the following dangers:

1. copying and pasting could introduce formatting that is not web-friendly and this would cause your site not to load, so we don't recommend it.
2. your site will not display consistently in all browsers.

The only safe way to introduce custom fonts on your page is to upload them as image files. You can do this if you have access to any image editing tools such as Photoshop, or you can try Picnik.com.

Hi Emmy,

I think this would answer my question. Thank you =)

The best solution would be to create images with the desired text insided as you suggested and load it on the site as an image
I never truthfully though about other users not having the same font as me.

Thanks again
