I have a .ie domain name registered which redirects to my Yola site. When I look for my Yola site in Google, the search listing uses the appendix. How do I make this appear as the .ie appendix in Google searches/listings?

Hi Sanja --

When I search for "smart storage" in Google, the listing reads -- I'd prefer it to have the .ie url here if possible!

Many thanks,

Hello Alan,

It seems your .ie domain isn't configured to point to your site.

Please make sure you have 2 A records set up. If you would like your domain to work correctly with the "www" prefix you need to make sure that your DNS settings are configured correctly to support the "www" prefix. For this you need to set up two A-records:

* Some domain registrars require one A Record with the hostname "@" and one with the hostname "www".
* Other domain registrars allow you to create one hostname called "" and another "www" (replace "domain" with your own address).
* Both should point to our IP address:

Once it is configured to point to your Yola site it will then take some time for Google to re-index it but there are ways we can speed this up.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

Hi guys,

I did all this and now when I open the site ( I get the window that says my site is pointing to Yola. When I go back in to SiteBuilder and try to add the domain the publishing settings it says that is NOT pointing to Yola. Any ideas?

Hi alan

When you make the update to point your site to Yola, it takes some time to propagate across the web. I see that your site IS now pointing to Yola. Now you need to republish your site so that it shows up on the internet. You do this by clicking on the "Publish to the web" button and publishing your site to

Hi Nolan - just want to add to Nazlie's comment. Your domain is pointing to Yola, however, it is also pointing to If you could remove that A Record and make sure that there are two pointing to Yola, to, then it will work.
