how do i change the second word in the title of the page (the title that's displayed in the title-bar of the web-browser).

http://bayviewfootprints2.yolasite.com/

there are two words in the browser tab/window title bar. the first word "Bayview Footprints" is what's entered in the Page Properties section, under "Window Title - Text that is displayed in the browser tab".

but the second word "Calendars" is coming from someplace else, and i cannot find where. i checked site properties, page properties, my html, and my css. cannot find where this word is coming from!

what should i do?

thanks!

Hi there. So what you need to do is to go to the page, then at the top of your page where your tabs, direct your cursor and a few options pop up. Or just go to "page" in the top left. Then select edit navigation. The select the page you want to edit and click on edit labels. Here you can change things around a little.

Whoops. Do you know what, I see what you mean now. OK. Go to "page", then click on "page properties" and a box menu comes up. Window title is what I think you are looking for.

By the way, do you know that you have some kind of code on your tabs? And some google box in the middle and on top of some text/

Good luck

Hi johnywhy

I've looked at your site and see the browser title. I'm not sure where the "Calendars" text came from. The good news is that we were able to fix the problem on your site. Please have a look at your published site and see if is what you are expecting to see.

Thank you

hi, Will, but as i mentioned in my question, the 2nd word in the browser tab, "Calendars", is nowhere to be found in the Yola interface. it's not in the page properties, the site properties, or the navigation settings. Btw, what do you mean i have "some kind of code in my tabs"? What code?

hi, Nazlie, what did you fix? I don't know what that means. The extra word is still in my browser tab.

thanks
john

Hi johnywhy

I checked your site yesterday and the word "- Calendar" had been removed. I will check this again and let you know.

Apologies for the confusion.

Hi johnywhy

One of our engineers has looked at the code on your site and found the problem.

It is inside the RSS reader widget on your home page:

There is some code inside the reader that is adding the word "- Calendars" to the browser's window title each time, even if it is removed elsewhere. You can fix this problem if you remove the widget and republish the changes.

You should also notify the company at which you got the code, that there is a problem with the RSS reader code. The particular bit of code in question is:
var arnews = new Array(10); totcount = 10; rnd = 0; document.title=document.title+ " - Calendars"; document.title=document.title+ " ";

If you need more help with this, please let us know.

Thank you
Nazlie

Thank you very much, nazlie. I suspected the google calendar widget, not the rss.
