I have 2 totally different businesses, and my first Website is finished With an Online Store but I'm in the process of building the 2nd site and made 2 categories, 1 for each business, but at the top left you can click on the "Store" link and both stores are showing up.... Is there anyway to keep these stores separate? Also, with the shop widget, it won't let you select a "category to choose" if there are no items in it but i have many subcategories in it. I had to add a t-shirt for sale to use it.

here is a link to my site www.blacknook.com the other store category is disabled because I don't want ppl to see it.

Thanks, for any help!

Hello David

I've done some tests in your Yola account, and what you're trying to achieve with your Yola Online Store works perfectly for me.

I've created two test categories with one subcategory each in your Yola Online Store – they're currently disabled, so that your customers won't see them. Their names are "Test D & D" and "Test Blacknook".

On your D & D website which you haven't published yet I created two test pages with the same names. I was able to only select the "Test D & D" category for the D & D Store page and the "Test Blacknook" category for the Blacknook Store page.

Please test it to see how it works. Enable the categories in your Online Store Panel temporarily. Then go to your D & D website and to the pages with the Online Store Widget swhere you will be able to choose either of the two test categories. Select it and don't let the message in the Widget disturb you ("You have no products in this category"). This message is actually true because you don't have any products there, but a subcategory. Just save. You will see that I've already done this part, but I posted it for you to repeat for your real Store.

In Preview you will see that the Store is displayed with its subcategory.

To remove the Store link, you will need to edit your Store CSS. This can be done in the Online Store Control Panel.
  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on "Design".

  3. Now you will need to create a new theme because you can't add anything to the Standard theme. So all you need to do is to make an identical copy of the Standard theme by clicking on "Duplicate".

  4. Under the naming section there is a box. Please paste this code there:

    /* Undisplay Store Link */
    div.ecwid-productBrowser-categoryPath-storeLink, span.ecwid-productBrowser-categoryPath-separator-first {
    display:none !important;
    }

  5. Save your changes and activate your new theme.

When you now go back to your D & D website with the test pages, you will see that the Store link is not displayed any more.

Let me know if you should get stuck anywhere.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
create 2 yola stores.

I have a Yola silver account, I have the Yola Store, but I have 2 domains, that I want 2 seperate stores on. Is there any way of doing this?

If not, can I Have my Ebay store as a seperate page on the website?

Hello Kunal,

Unfortunately this isn't possible with a single Online Store subscription.

Multiple stores will use the same settings from the Ecwid control panel: products, categories, shipping methods, payment, etc. Likewise you can use only one PayPal account.

If you would like to run two stores that will sell to different PayPal accounts, you have to register two separate Ecwid/Yola accounts.

Hi,

Yeah I thought it might be a bit tricky to do that. Do you know if there was a way to hyperlink a page from the navigation bar directly to another website? i.e. my ebay store

Kind Regards

Kunal,

You could do that with all styles previously but now it doesn't work.

You can try of course and recheck

<a href="your-ebay-store.com">Store title</a> in the Page details

If the ebay store URL is too long you can try a URL shortener. Please try this on a dummy site first as now some have actually crashed their sites.
