How do I do this?

Hi,

I'm wanting to create a system in which people can submit information in a form, and then it upload onto a page.

What I mean by this is that for each submission, it will go onto a place, in which it can be searched using a simple search box.

Each submission would not need to have it's own page, because it's not possible to automatically create pages with Yola (Is it?), just be able to be searched.

Hopefully it is possible, and that you understand me,

Kind Regards,
Amar

Hi Amar

I do understand what you would like to do. Unfortunately, it is not possible to generate pages on Yola automatically from information on a form. While it is possible to put a site search on Yola, we do not have a database feature that will be able to search the data you collect from your forms.

Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Would it be possible to just have it all on one page then?

Hi Amar,

Anything submitted via your form widget will be sent to you via email, so it will be searchable in your email. If you wish to search the content elsewhere you will need to move that content to the location of your choice manually, perhaps a spreadsheet, or something along those lines.

Amar,

A really good solution to this issue is to use Google Forms on Google Apps. If a person fills out your Google created form, the data is then stored on a spreadsheet within Google Apps. This is easily searched and although not online on your website it is connected and easily accessed.

You can then manually copy the spreadsheet periodically as an html formatted spreadsheet and place it directly on your web-page. A simple search facility would easily locate a record online from this.

Similar solutions are available with many of the other form providers as they store the incoming data in a spreadsheet format which then allows you to use Excel or another spreadsheet solution to locate the data.

I do run Google Apps for my email and Blog, so that might be a viable option, I'll look into how I could make it work.
