How do I edit the navigation section? Sliding JS Drop Downs!

Hi I'm new to Yola.

I've built one site pretty basic but was happy with it so I am now trying to expand a little and see what is possible.
I've been onto the Yola Codes site and found the Sliding JS Drop down menus that I really like. But how do I enter them into the navigation part of a blank page?
I've copied all the code from the test site and added that into my site, but I've just dropped it into the middle of the page but obviously would like it to replace the original navigation.

Any help please I'm surely missing something simple here :-)

Thanks in advance, Jamie

Hello Jamie!

First of all you will want to drag the menu to the top of your page. Then right before the menu code, put this code in, in the same HTML widget:

<style type="text/css">

#menu {
height:0px;
width:0px;
display:none;
visibility:hidden;
}

</style>

Just put this right before the code you have for your new navigation and this should work!

Now if your navigation is at the top of your page or on the side let me know and I can make it where it will be in that same exact place.

I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hi Jamie... I have to laugh because I too was once new to Yola and I too once had a basic site... Look what a basic site can turn into if you're not careful...

By the by, If Nathan can't help you out nobody can. ;)

Happy site building

Nathan if you ever saw my website in the sitebuilder you would I am sure be shocked at how such a cluttered sitebuilder could ever look as my published site does. I uncluttered it a bit by using a little trick I came up with 2 years ago. Thanks for your opinion of my site. It always helps motivate me when I hear such kind words... ;)

Thanks Nathan for the help you are really on the ball!

Dropped that code into the thrid box and it has popped the navigation right to the top.
So is there not an area where I can edit the "navigation" in one page so it makes the changes and appears on all pages?

Also as the Yola Codes site it said to copy all three boxes and put them in the same order in my webpage but to get the actual navigation to the top I then pulled this box up to the top! So its not actually in the same order anymore! Does that make sense?!

Sorry if this is really basic stuff but I'm intrigued in what we can do with Yola.

......Honey Bear all I can say is wow, was that all built in Yola? I'm very impressed looks lke I may have found a new tool to play with :-)

Thanks Guys.

Hi Jamie, I am sorry to say, but no there isn't an area to insert the menu to all of your pages at once. Just do it on a test page first and make sure it is how you want it then add it to all of your pages.

Let me know if you need any help with this.
