Hi tiddsgarden

I answered your post in another thread with the following reply:

Here is a thread on how to add a shipping charge to a paypal button within the paypal system. Sadly, there is not yet a way to do so with the sitebuilder's paypal widget as of yet.

Add a shipping charge to your Paypal "Buy now" or "Add to cart" buttons... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip...

By reading your new thread I can only assume that you already have found the thread I listed above as you are now asking how much to charge per pound. In this instance, I would go to your country's postal website and do some research with their shipping calculator as to how much it would cost to send one of your products with a given set weight of 1 pound to the furthest region (in your country) away from you and use that as your shipping charge, that way you would seldom have a occurrence of your product's actual shipping charge costing more than your customer paid for shipping.

In the U.S. we use USPS http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatepo...

Good luck and happy site building

Ed

Thanks Ed I have been on the postal site and have the charts. I guess its all just a guessing game. I just hope I dont screw myself or my customers. It will be a learning curve for sure.

This is something that you as the business owner needs to do themselves as you have all the details necessary and of course it is your business. We can only help so much and I did post the link to the detailed instruction above. Please take a moment to look there, it might help you out a great deal.

Take each of your items and calculate an estimated shipping charge going to no less than a half dozen places throughout the United States and take the highest to factor in as your shipping charge.

Here is the UPS shipping calculator: https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request?l...

Good luck...
