How do I get my original "layout" back even though I didn't save or publish the one I just "tried" on for size ?

I just tried a different background to see what it would look like. I didn't save nor publish it. When I "tried" the background I assumed, as has happend when ever I didn't save any of my changes it defaults back to the original ... well its keeping the new even if I logo out. I have changes I need to make to the original spelling but I'm stuck until I find out how to get my original template back. As for site visitors the original still remains. Its on the back end I'm having problems.

Hello Mark,

I presume you are meaning the "Style"? Selected on the lower part of the Sitebuilder screen?

If you have selected another Style to compare then the builder saves this automatically. You can go back to your original Style by reselecting it and it will revert. This is a new system that has been recently introduced and has tricked a few users on the way.

Visitors will see the original unless you re-publish your changed site.

GOP,

Thanks for the reply... You are right in that I "should" be able to revert back to the oringal that included my logo .. but I couldn't. My original was "midnight" . It wouldn't let me back without loosing the logo and all my menu links changed from side to the header. Someone from Yola suggested I grab the "no frills" style ( which had a white background that had to be changed to black. All I had to do was add my logo ... Fonts and everything stayed the same ... Wheeeeew ! My advise for anyone is don't try a template change as it will shatter your nerves when you discover you can't get "some" of your past editing back.

I agree the new styles change is very traumatic. The Styles facility is the weakest within the sitebbuilder for a number of reasons and I hope that they can really look at this soon and make it one of the best systems out there.

As for that slidy aspect to select a style. What is that? Can't see what the layout is, you are pushing to find a specific layout if you are trying to locate as something suggested. There are no wins on this Style system.

Hi Mark,

I'm sorry to hear your style change was such a negative experience. We are planning a release next week that we hope will make this easier as it will provide a button allowing you to revert back to your original style with all of your assets preserved.
