Hello Lei Ling,

The Online Store is ideal for this. people "purchase" the track and when it is processed through the store a "time limited"&/ or "tries limited" link will be sent to them through the store.

The customers demographics can be captured by the system for inclusion in a database.

Other ways of doing this include a Form and with such a form their details can be captured and sent to a spreadsheet. Then you can manually send them a track.

Hi Gop,

I would like to go with option two re: form as the track will be a free download that I'd like to send to them.

Kindly advise on how this form can be set up?

Hi Lei Ling,

using a Form for this I suggest using JotForm. This is very easy to setup and is well described. Most people have it up and running within 30 minutes or less.

The form can then be directed to send the data to an online spreadsheet such as Google drive. You will also receive the responders form by email. When you receive the email then you would send the track link or attach it to a an email reply. The data captured in a spreadsheet can then be worked on at leisure.

Ok great. I am familiar with Jotform. How would I incorporate it onto one of my site pages though? Would I have to embed it?

I will look into Google drive now...

You can either embed or link it to your site. I generally prefer embedding.

Another question, how can make a page for e.g. 'About us' an external link?

I want to create a Facebook and Twitter menu page for each but both should be external links leading to FB and T?

Ok Lei Ling,

You can do this most easily by using the specific Social widget link widgets within the sitebuilder. You can also use custom images and link these to such facilities with an image widget or with the image facility within a text widget. These are intuitive once you are in the widgets.

The third way is to use straight HTML with link syntax. This can be a phrase link or an image link.

If I missed the point with these please let me know if you can and with some more specifics and hopefully we'll get there.

Hi Gop,

Thanks for the options but I think you're missing the point:).

I've created page titles e.g. HOME, ABOUT US, CONTACT, FACEBOOK, TWITTER etc..

I want to make the Facebook and Twitter pages external links. When someone clicks on the Facebook page title it should go directly to the Facebook page. The same applies to Twitter. Is this doable?

I'm not sure if the HTML option you mentioned does this?

You can place re-directs on a page which will automatically and within a short a time as a second, automatically take the viewer to the appropriate site. These are called meta-directs.

Pluses and minuses for these. Pluses: instantaneous and one click navigation. Minuses: Rates poorly with SEO., meaning it may harm the ranking of your site by search engines like Google (?). Some users ban these re-directs within their browsers and you may not be able to adjust the re-direct time once it is set. You can be forced to delete the page and create it again with different timing. The back key won't get users back to your original site so you are forced to open the re-direct in a new tab.

Ok. How would I do this?

If I opt for the image link option you mentioned then I'll choose the image widget link option...

First grab your FB & Twitter URL's

At the place on your desired page, pull in the picture widget.
Choose upload an image or if the image is already in your File Manager select that image.
Select Edit from the top left hand side of the picture widget and click "Choose a link" > External link > type in your FB or Twitter address.

Under the Optimise button please click it to off as this may give you a sharper image.

Notes: your images should only be 10 - 20 Kb for a small image.
repeat for the other social link.

Thanks Gop.

And how would I implement the meta-direct option?

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://website_address/">

Be careful as it will re-direct even in the sitebuilder.

Place the code on the page where you wish the user to be re-directed from.

What happens is that the user will click the navigation tab in your case and they will be taken immediately to your FB or Twitter.
